Josh Walmetsi, another former Eagle who was traded to the 49ers, is set to become the Eagles third-round draft pick, according to sources.
Sources said Walmatsi, who was drafted by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, will join the team at training camp on Wednesday, the day before the team begins preseason training camp.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound wide receiver was a member of the Eagles’ Pro Bowl in 2012.
He spent time with the Jets, Dolphins, Saints and Ravens during his career.
He also spent time in the CFL.
Walmatsis agent, Scott Barbour, confirmed the trade to NJ Advance Media on Thursday.
Walmsley played in 12 games for the Eagles last season, catching 12 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns.
The 6-3, 220-pounder caught 25 passes for 324 yards and three touchdowns in 2012, a season that featured four consecutive playoff appearances.
